We're based on the book series Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter. We're an (account per player) roleplay with no word count or character limit. We're set far off into the future when the tales of Firestar and the Great Journey have faded from living memory. The story now is told by YOU. Will you brave the wilds as a warrior? The last half-moon meeting found Acorntwig, the clan's medicine cat, given a dire warning.
Thunderclan's camp is empty, but for a small flower. He approaches it to get a closer look, but slowly the flower is covered in frost. Once it is covered completely, a black shadow swallows it up before the shadow gets big enough to swallow everything.
Danger looms over the clan. It is up to Thunderclan to determine what and how to protect their clan.
At the last half-moon meeting, Shadwoclan's medicine cat Dusklight recieved a warning.
In the Shadowclan camp, the sky is overcast, and a thunder rumbles heavily enough to shake her bones. A bright flash of lightning crashes down onto the nursery, setting it ablaze.
Something threatents the peace of Shadowclan. It is up to the clan to determine what and how to protect their clan.

It was very un-Rainwhisker-like to leave camp. It was very un-Rainwhisker-like to return with no prey, hours later. It was very un-Rainwhisker-like to be trotting into camp grounds with her mouth open and sides heaving. She'd ran this whole way, from the river on the other side of the territory.
This isn't going to be a very fun conversation, she thought.
Initially, she had no idea why she felt the need to leave camp. She had a suspicion now, and it was for the same reason a cat could fall off their twoleg's water-nest into the sea and wash up, alive, on Riverclan territory. Starclan never murmured too closely in Rainwhisker's ears, but sometimes fate was too coincidental to be random. Not only had their ancestors guided Piper to the shore, but they had coaxed Rainwhisker into finding them, too.
Dacetail would believe her in a heartbeat. She was more concerned about Wheatstar, who was not unfaithful by any means, but was certainly more rational than the medicine cat tended to be. Even if it were a deputy who-- under normal circumstances --left many trespassing loners with new scars telling her it, would she believe her? And if not, would Starclan punish them all for leaving Piper?
Rainwhisker tried to shake the anxiety that clung like burrs to her pelt. She would just have to do her best, and hope Starclan would understand.
The hulking cat stuck her nose near the leader's den. "Wheatstar?" she hissed in. "Are you still awake? It is important."
n the darkness of her den, Wheatstar was settled comfortably in her reed-lined nest. She heard a voice of one of her warriors call from outside of her space, their meow echoing off of the stone walls that she and each leader before her claimed as theirs. Olive green eyes flickered about, searching for the source, but saw none.
She forced herself up to her paws, trying to stifle the concern that grew within her. The scent that touched her nose told her it was Rainwhisker, failing to recognize her deputy's voice in her sleepy haze. What could be so important that could not wait until morning? Had she caught wind of a traitor sneaking out of camp? Did she catch the scent of a fox in RiverClan territory? Perhaps Twolegs had moved closer and encroached upon their lands? She would only know by asking. "What is ailing you, Rainwhisker?" She slinked out of her den, lichen brushing against her tabby pelt.
There was her deputy, outside of her den and to the side, rather than in the front. The RiverClan leader's eyes bore into her deputy, scanning every bit of the warrior's pelt. Wheatstar knew Rainwhisker left earlier, but chose to think little of it at the time. Now, though, was different. She was able to pick up on the heaving flanks of the older molly, and the anxiety that hung in the air, but was not able to decipher if the anxiety was her own or her companion's. Please tell me something stupid.

Rainwhisker's mouth opened and closed, the line of her jaw hardening briefly as the older cat grit her teeth. It was easy to think Starclan was sending messages. It was much harder to look another cat in the eye and talk about them. Regardless, she shook herself out once more.
"I found a loner on the beach," she began, voice a little hushed. "Crusty. Exhausted. Stinking of salt. They'd fallen off a twoleg nest in the middle of the sea and swept up here. I got them to some water, but I..."
She licked her pale throat briefly. "I don't think it's any coincidence they washed up on our territory. I've seen cats drift too far into the sea and never come back. I think Starclan sent them." She glanced over Wheatstar, and then away, frowning. She hoped, distantly, she did not sound too insane. "I took them to some clean water and told them to sleep, but I do not-- entirely know what to do. It seems wrong to turn them away."
She paused there, gaze flicking back to Wheatstar to listen to her initial reaction.
ilence washed over Wheatstar as she took in the words of her deputy. This was not behavior that she was used to, and initially it unsettled her. Now, it concerned and confused her. "Let me make sure I am understanding correctly..."
The fluffy tabby took a seat outside of her den, neatly wrapping her feathered tail around her paws. Her eyes were locked onto the entrance of camp, watching as though she expected a loner to pop up as they spoke. "You believe that StarClan sent a waterlogged, half-drowned loner to RiverClan?" Her voice had an underlying tone of amusement. She did not want to condescend her deputy, merely understand her.
"Dacetail did not received any word of a prophetic cat when they last shared tongues with StarClan." Wheatstar turned her head to Rainwhisker, her long whiskers twitching twice. "I think this is merely coincidence and they were lucky enough not to drown." They were luckier that Rainwhisker was present to begin with. "What could they possibly offer us, though? Right now, it sounds more like another mouth to feed."

Rainwhisker visibly took a few seconds to think about this. So what if Dacetail hadn't had any dreams from Starclan about it? She might just have not spoken of it yet, or not understood. It couldn't be coincidence. The sea was endless, yet out of everywhere it could have spat Piper out, it spat them out on a territory where someone just so happened to be wandering?
She noticed Wheatstar looking past her and followed her gaze to the entrance of camp. Does she think I'm that stupid? She wondered, ears flattening against her skull. "I didn't bring them here," Rainwhisker said, unable to hide the hurt that gilded her tone. "But I think it goes beyond coincidence. The sea has done nothing but swallow cats whole and never return them. Why would it wash one up to us now?"
Her head tilted forward to lick her chest. She wasn't angry, but the offense was swelling in her chest like a tumour. The hulking cat shook herself out before she let emotion addle her head. "I don't know why, or for what purpose, but I think it would be a mistake to dismiss them as just another loner," she mewed grimly. "They seem capable of fishing. They talked about being a mouser. I assume they are a decent hunter."
The orange tabby let out a sigh, visibly conflicted. Her jaw was set tightly and she stared at her deputy with a trembling gaze. Her tongue pressed hard into the roof of her mouth, rubbing idly back and forth as she let her thoughts roam. The more Rainwhisker told her about this cat, the less she wanted them to come - to be here. She had to admit that she was grateful for the fact that Rainwhisker didn’t bring that strange cat here and suppressed the bit of guilt that rose up for thinking that one of her most trusted warriors would do such a thing. Seeing some mangy loner in the camp would likely just make it harder for her to make a decision. [break][break]
There was a positive in the fact that this cat could hunt – though they couldn’t exactly swim. The issue was stemming from the fact that they were a mouser. They were no less than a kittypet in her eyes, and to be a mouser didn’t exactly entail putting in effort. Those little rodents seemed to nearly run into the paws of cats like they lacked any brains and she wasn’t entirely fond of the taste of mouse either, but she supposed that ability could come in more handy during Leafbare. [break][break]
Turning her head away from the she-cat, she relaxed her jaw and spoke with closed eyes. ”All right, Rainwhisker,” Wheatstar reluctantly conceded, ”you may bring them to camp. Take them to Dacetail and Sunpaw to make sure she is well and good. I will send an apprentice to make a nest for her in their den, and then I will meet with her myself.” She clicked her teeth together lightly and turned her eyes back onto her friend, a playful undertone to her voice. ”Does that satisfy you? I can’t understand why you feel pity for her, but I suppose there is no harm in seeing this through.”

Satisfied. Satisfaction was sleeping after a long day and resting her aching bones, or the first mouthful of freshkill after everyone else has been fed. Was she satisfied, now? No, not really. Something sat in her belly, deep and heavy like an oversized lump. Her eyes stung with exhaustion. She'd be thankful to curl in her nest soon.
"They," she corrected the pronoun absent-mindedly, before continuing. "It's not pity. I don't think so. I--" scarred lips twisted. "I just don't want to disappoint."
It wasn't Piper she was afraid of disappointing, of course-- it was their ancestors. Even though Rainwhisker wasn't the most expressive of cats, it was written on her face somewhere past all the ragged scratches and hardened curve of her brow. She didn't think she'd necessarily be punished for turning Piper away, she worried what plans she'd be interrupting.
She licked her jowls. "Thank you," she said, after a beat. And though it likely didn't need saying, she said it anyway: "I will take whichever responsibility I can should this prove a mistake." Grim and curt, like she were taking an oath.
Rainwhisker ruffled out her fur. At least the matter had been settled, for now. "I'll get you some freshkill before you return to sleep," she offered.
”They.” Wheatstar echoed the correction with a firm nod. As her Clanmate continued, she stepped closer to her and tentatively rest her tail on Rainwhisker’s back. Her gaze had softened now that their conversation was nearing its end and they had reached a decision. ”I look forward to meeting them. I am sure it was not a decision if you are willing to bring them to the Clan.” Wheatstar turned away, inching back towards her den. “I know very well that you wouldn’t endanger RiverClan. You’ll be all right.”
While she was hesitant about letting an outsider in, seeing her deputy be uncertain about the decision herself brought a strange feeling bubbling up within her. Suddenly the only thing that mattered was reassuring her Clanmate. ”Thank you.” Wheatstar mewed in response to the offer of prey. ”Take a small patrol with you to fetch her in the morning. Make sure you eat before you go.”
With a twitch of her tail, she ducked her head down and disappeared behind the lichen lining her den.
