► Acorntwig was the only kit of his litter. His parents, Cricketskip and Olivesnow, had had a litter before him. He was spoiled by his parents and older siblings. Cricketskip taught him to be gentle, to treat every life with kindness. Olivesnow was stricter, and taught Acorntwig to stand up for himself. She emphasised on not letting other cats pressure him into someone he wasn't, and assured him that she would always love him. Weaselchaser was the trouble-maker, and often took Acorntwig out of camp to play around. Amberbright was more of a rule-follower, and would catch him and Weaselbright each time before scolding them. Mistypetal was the fierce one, the cat he'd run to when the other kits picked on his small size. One way or another, the bullies would always come to him the next day, head bowed and shaking as they apologised. Morningsplash was the poetic one, the one who taught Acorntwig to see the wonder in the world around him. His kithood was surrounded by love and support.
When he was apprentice-aged, he was approached by Lilytooth, the old medicine cat, and asked to be a medicine cat apprentice. Acorntwig agreed, having already expressed interest in learning medicine, and so took up the role. Lilytooth, though old and grouchy, made sure to teach Acorntwig everything he knew. Acorntwig learnt to see past the tom's snappiness to the kind heart inside, and grew quite fond of the older tom. His apprenticeship was uneventful, with him becoming a full medicine cat at the age of 14 moons. Mere 6 moons later, Lilytooth passed in his sleep to a small bought of whitecough, having been too old to fight the sickness. Acorntwig mourned the loss of his mentor and friend, and took on the position of ThunderClan's sole medicine cat with trembling paws.
