ONE LINER ► A large, lithe golden tabby with white piebald markings, yellow-green eyes, and a thick plush coat that is not overly long but lends a soft appearance.

DETAILED ► Yellowmist is a cat of mixed origin. There is no telling his breed makeup, and any records of his ancestors have simply been lost to time. However there is some suggestion of coon in the broadness of his face his cobby build. Beyond that is up to speculation. He is a steady fellow, neither overly bulky nor given to sleekness, though he is not without natural athleticism and a spry freeness in his step that suggests he has had to rely heavily on his body for quick movement that require dexterity and precision. His coat is thick, favoring cooler temperatures while warmth breeds relative discomfort. There is a downy element to the fur as well. In color he is a hodgepodge of orange and red stripes mottled with swirls of white that streak across his body and cover his face, while his legs and tail remain remarkably clean and unblemished. Yellowmist's eyes are a gentle shade of yellow-green with notes of aqua-blue.

DETAILED ► Yellowmist is quiet, steadfast and stalwart, an imposing figure if only for his impassive and stolid expression. His eyes, the color of a sunstruck forest, are keen and shaded with wisdom and weariness in tandem for the life he has suffered through. The fire of his youth has been chilled and in its place has arisen the shrewdness of a leveled head. Yellowmist is burdened by his past, and at times can be found in quiet meditation, pondering over his mistakes and wishing he could have done things differently. It is a weakness he recognizes and struggles against. Nobody knows his own faults and failings better than himself, and Yellowmist often challenges himself to be better, to do better. He is persistent, enduring, but he is not obstinate. Although he does, frequently, privately, lack confidence in himself, Yellowmist betrays nothing of these weaknesses of character, acting always in a deliberate and determined manner. Despite this, he is not afraid to admit mistakes or when he is wrong, and finds greater strength in bowing his head for forgiveness than raising it haughtily to the sky and proclaiming infallibility. He is also not afraid to rely on others if he needs help or guidance. To those who dwell in his heart, Yellowmist is as warm as his name suggests. He is kind and doting and has a special affinity for kits and a profound respect for mothers. Yellowmist is a cat of action, who does not delight in laziness. He is a worker, who prefers to pull his weight rather than have it pulled, and he believes in keeping paws and jaws busy. Yellowmist harbors much guilt for his past, and a determination to make amends rather than let those failings consume him. In this way does he work toward personal redemption.

HISTORY
TRIGGER WARNINGS ► familial death.
► Yellowkit was born in ThunderClan to his mother Featherdown and father Stoneclaw, a proud warrior. When he was still just a mewly kitten his father was struck on the thunderpath and killed, leaving only him and his mother. They were almost inseparable and he loved his mother greatly, doing anything he could to make her proud. He grew up strong and became an obedient and dutiful apprentice, eventually becoming a warrior, Yellowmist.
All of this changed one evening in bare-leaf when Yellowmist was out practicing patrols and getting used to the land. A fox cornered him, and though he put up a good fight, Yellowmist knew he was no match for a fox. His mother heard the commotion, as she was never too far from her son, and rushed in to save him, sacrificing her own life in the process. Yellowmist was devastated and though his friends and former mentor tried to help him, he swore revenge on the fox. Yellowmist left the clan on a mission of revenge. This lead him down a dark path of anger. He became aggressive and consumed with one task and he attacked anyone who got in his way.
Everything came to a head when he found himself face to face with another young cat who claimed to have information on the fox, but had actually lied so that he could get a free meal out of Yellowmist. In anger Yellowmist attacked him with full intent to kill him, until a she-cat ran out and jumped between them before the killing blow could be struck. She pleaded with Yellowmist to spare her son, offering her life in exchange for his. Yellowmist was horrified and remembered his own mother. Without a word he fled back into the forests. That night he received a vision of his mother who gently reminded him of his home in ThunderClan, and said that she had lived a good life and only wished to see him happy.
When Yellowmist awoke his heart was heavy and he was shame-ridden at the cat he'd become and the life he was throwing away all for revenge. That was not the life his mother wanted him to live. So, with his head low, Yellowmist returned to ThunderClan, only to see that the Clan had been ransacked during a war and was struggling without a leader or deputy. Yellowmist wasted no time joining the others in effort to rebuild the Clan, doing all he could to make amends for his abandonment and bring honor back to his name and family.
