Acorntwig stretched, feeling the sunshine warm on his fur. The tabby slipped out of the medicine cat's den, several bundles of herbs in his jaws. He set them down outside, where the sun was baking the ground slowly, and unwrapped the grass blades that had binded them together. As the medicine cat spread the herbs out in rows under the sun to dry, his attention would flick to the happenings around Camp every now and then. Ever since he took over as ThunderClan's only medicine cat, he had been rather... distant, to his fellow clanmates. He hadn't been close to any of them in the first place, to be honest, with his only companion being the former medicine cat Lilytooth. Lilytooth had hosted herb lessons, he recalled, and invited all their clanmates to come learn about basic herbs if him if they wished. Lilytooth had always been popular amongst their clanmates...

Perhaps he, too, should host some herb learning sessions? He would be out for a while anyway watching over the drying herbs, so why not? With that, the small tabby raised his head and began calling out to his passing clanmates if they would like to join him. Hopefully, at least a few would join, and spare him the shame of being rejected by his entire Clan.

YELLOWSTAR

Nostalgia glittered in Yellowstar's eyes as he cast an appreciative glance over the camp, glancing on young and old with fondness. A smile played on his face, gentle and subdued, belying nothing of the eternal gratitude singing through his mind that he'd not lost it all to a life of vengeance. Granted, there was a hint of bitterness to his happy mood for all that he'd missed in his absence. Perhaps if he'd stayed things would be different now. Ah, but he couldn't allow himself to wander down those familiar paths of regret, not when the sun beat so comfortingly on his gold and white-splashed back.

And as luck would have it, a distraction came soon enough. The call of their lone medicine cat reached his ears, which flicked gently at the sound. Soon his attention was pulled, and Yellowstar spied Acorntwig amid an assemblage of herbs, calling for the attention of any curious enough to catch a glimpse at his craft and stretch the boundaries of their knowledge. Yellowstars smile widened, and soon his paws strayed toward the medicine cat. Occasionally he set a glance around himself, as though beckoning others to join him, before taking a seat before Acorntwig. His head dipped in silent greeting to avoid taking away any attention from the medicine cat.
